Sting Returns For 40-Date North American Tour

Tour opens June 24 in Camden, N.J., and closes Sept. 8 in Virginia Beach, Va.

British singer/songwriter and ex-Police frontman Sting will return to North America this summer for a 40-date tour in support of his most recent album, Brand New Day.

Beginning June 24 in New Jersey and wrapping up Sept. 8 in Virginia, the 37-city excursion will include shows in Montreal, Ohio, Colorado, Washington and California.

On Brand New Day(RealAudio excerpt of title track), released in October, Sting explores country, jazz, hip-hop and worldbeat. "Big Lie Small World" combines the bossa nova lilt of a nylon-string guitar with electronic and acoustic percussive inflections. The album is lush with string arrangements and features Sting's idiosyncratic takes on love and life.
