Madonna, Method Man Help Launch TV's 'Wonderland'

Former Shudder to Think leader writes score for new hospital drama.

Although they weren't hyped beforehand, a number of notable music connections appeared in "Wonderland," the new drama that premiered Thursday on ABC-TV.

Wu-Tang Clan rapper Method Man played a patient in the New York criminal psychiatric ward where the show is set. His role is not expected to be ongoing, ABC publicist Eric Parham said.

The show's theme music was composed by Madonna and William Orbit, and the score was written by Craig Wedren, former singer/guitarist for the Washington, D.C., post-punk band Shudder to Think.

Credited as music supervisor for the episode was George Drakoulias, known for his work with the Black Crowes and the Jayhawks. Seven more episodes are planned to air this season Thursdays at 10 p.m. EDT, Parham said.
