R. Kelly Producing New Secret Weapon

R&B singer produced, wrote several songs on boy band's debut CD, due in June.

R&B singer R. Kelly hasn't released an album since 1998, but that doesn't mean he hasn't been busy. Kelly's been working with a new boy band, Secret Weapon, as well as mixing his own upcoming album.

Kelly produced Secret Weapon's debut CD and wrote many of the songs, according to MTV News. Kelly signed the four-piece group, which hails from New Jersey, to his Rockland label in 1997. The album, still untitled, will be released in June.

Kelly plans to release TP2.com, the follow-up to his 1998 album, R., in early summer. That album included his hit single "I Believe I Can Fly" (RealAudio excerpt), which originally appeared on the soundtrack of the 1996 movie "Space Jam."
