Metheny Revels In Trio Format

No frills — just a straight-up, straight-ahead blowing session by three guys in perfect sync. Bassist Larry Grenadier and drummer Bill Stewart give guitarist Metheny all the room he needs for his tasty melodic flights, egging him on when necessary. In addition to nice interpretations of John Coltrane's "Giant Steps" (RealAudio excerpt) and Wayne Shorter's "Capricorn," Metheny plays acoustically on his pretty ballad "We Had a Sister."
