Folk and funk singer Beck was rushed to a British hospital Thursday (March 23), after hurting himself onstage at London's Wembley Arena. During an encore, the singer collided with his bassist, accidentally ramming his chest into the bass guitar and hurting his ribs, according to a representative from SJM Concerts, the show's promoter. Beck was treated, released and said to be fine; his UK and U.S. publicists did not immediately return calls placed on Friday. Beck is on tour in Europe, supporting Midnite Vultures (1999). He has U.S. dates on the West Coast scheduled for April and May.
