SonicNet's Cinemachine (www.cinemachine.com) movie review search engine is pleased to announce a new movie contest. Twenty-five astute (and lucky) film fans from the New York metropolitan area, 25 fans from the Los Angeles area and 50 fans from the San Francisco Bay Area each will win a pass for two to an advance screening of the prickly romantic comedy, "High Fidelity."
The movie stars John Cusack as struggling Chicago record-store owner/music junkie Rob Gordon, whose love life is even more on the skids than his business. Rob spends his time at Championship Vinyl with his employees, Dick (Todd Louiso) and Barry (Jack Black), discussing the music scene and fretting about his relationship problems. But sooner or later, this perpetual adolescent will have to face adulthood.
"High Fidelity," rated R, was directed by Stephen Frears ("Dangerous Liaisons") and co-stars Joan Cusack, Lili Taylor and Natasha Gregson Wagner. It's based on the popular novel by British author Nick Hornby.
