Superstar rockers U2 played a four-song acoustic set in

their hometown of Dublin, Ireland, Saturday (March 18), as they accepted

its highest honor, the Freedom of Dublin Award. The band performed "All

I Want Is You," "Desire," "The Sweetest Thing" and "One." Dublin's lord mayor, Mary Freehill, has said

that U2, along with manager Paul McGuinness, were chosen for the honor

because of their musical success and their work for social causes. Some

11,000 people watched U2 perform on Saturday in Dublin's Smithfield

market, according to the band's UK publicity firm, RMP. U2 is working on

an album scheduled for release in the fall.
