Axl Rose Collaborating With Buckethead

Material reportedly is for upcoming Guns N' Roses album.

Axl Rose has been collaborating with avant-garde multi-instrumentalist Buckethead on material for the upcoming Guns N' Roses album, according to MTV News. Buckethead, best known for his rapid guitar riffing, will not necessarily replace Robin Finck, who departed the group in August to rejoin Nine Inch Nails, unnamed sources reportedly said. Buckethead has released at least four solo albums, including the most recent, Monsters and Robots (1999). In related news, drummer Josh Freese reportedly has left Guns N' Roses after two years with the group. Freese, who also works with the Vandals, is playing in A Perfect Circle, the side-project of Tool singer Maynard James Keenan. The band will open for Nine Inch Nails on their upcoming tour.
