Fatboy Slim Mix Album Due

'On the Floor at the Boutique' is set for a March 28 release.

Fatboy Slim will release the mix album On the Floor at the Boutique on March 28, a spokesperson at Astralwerks Records said. The follow-up to the Brighton, England, DJ's 1998 Grammy-nominated You've Come a Long Way, Baby, the album was recorded live in one night at the Big Beat Boutique, the same party that spawned the Lo Fidelity Allstars' recent mix release, On the Floor at the Boutique. Fatboy Slim's record features songs from the Jungle Brothers, DJ Tonka and Cirrus, plus remixes of "Michael Jackson" (from Fatboy Slim's Better Living Through Chemistry) and "The Rockafeller Skank" (the "funk soul brother" song). The CD also will include a previously unavailable video for "Build It Up, Tear It Down," featuring several Brighton DJs literally tearing down the Concorde, the venue where the Big Beat Boutique party originally was thrown. Fatboy Slim will release a studio album in the fall, according to the spokesperson.
