AC/DC Auction Nets $43,000 For Charity

Lesson with guitarist Angus Young goes for $28,000.

A personal guitar lesson with AC/DC guitarist Angus Young sold for more than $28,000 on Tuesday (Feb. 29) at the online auction house, an Elektra Records publicist said. Young's tutelage was one of a series of items auctioned to benefit the Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy Foundation; total auction sales topped $43,000. "That's a lot of loot," Young said in a statement. The Australian hard rockers, who released their latest album, Stiff Upper Lip, on Tuesday, will appear on "Saturday Night Live" on March 18.
