The week that brought Santana's Supernatural nine Grammy Awards also brought the album a nearly 400,000-copy jump in sales. Supernatural will remain at #1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart this week, for a third straight week and ninth overall. Its sales jumped to 583,071 copies, from 219,143 the week before, according to SoundScan data released Wednesday (March 1). The band, with Matchbox 20 vocalist Rob Thomas, performed the hit single "Smooth" at the Grammys. The week's highest chart debut will be the soundtrack to the Madonna comedy "The Next Best Thing." The soundtrack, which comes in at #34, includes Madonna's cover of Don McLean's 1971 hit song "American Pie." The self-titled debuts of Bronx hip-hop collective D.I.T.C. (#141) and late INXS singer Michael Hutchence (#200) also will debut.
