Aguilera Plans Christmas Album

Teen pop queen who won Best New Artist Grammy Award has Spanish-language album in works.

Teen pop diva Christina Aguilera is planning to record a Christmas album for release later this year, she told reporters at the 42nd Annual Grammy Awards on Wednesday. The 19-year-old singer, who won the Best New Artist Grammy, is recording a Spanish-language album for an early-fall release as well as writing material for her next English-language LP. "I want to show people other areas of myself that they may not be familiar with," she said. "I really want to be seen as a vocalist and try to take pop a little deeper than it is right now."
