Ricky Martin Reportedly Plans Tour

Pop singer, who sold out fall outing, plans 27 dates in the summer, according to MTV News.

Latin-pop sensation Ricky Martin will launch a 27-city U.S. tour June 9 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., according to MTV News. The tour will head up the East Coast before cutting west and wrapping July 27 in Portland, Ore. Though Martin came up empty in his bid for four Grammys on Wednesday, the former Menudo singer made an impression at the Los Angeles event with his spectacular rendition of "Maria," backed by acrobatic and pyrotechnic stunts. Among the awards he was nominated for were Record of the Year, for "Livin' la Vida Loca," and Pop Album of the Year, for his self-titled English-language debut, released last spring. This will be Martin's second major tour of the U.S. The first, in the fall, sold out quickly, prompting promoters to add more dates.
