Sugar Ray To Play Benefit

Pop-rock band's concert to aid childhood friend.

Pop-rockers Sugar Ray will play a benefit for their childhood friend Rob Hillis at Galaxy Theater in Anaheim, Calif. on Feb. 20. The show is to help Hillis, who recently suffered two strokes, to pay his medical bills, a Sugar Ray spokesperson said. Later this month, the band will head overseas for a monthlong tour of New Zealand and Australia with Live. Sugar Ray plan to head into a Los Angeles studio in April to record their fourth album, a follow-up to the multiplatinum 14:59 (1999).
