McCartney Reportedly Working On Album

Ex-Beatle's new material expected by year's end.

Ex-Beatles bassist Paul McCartney is working on a new

studio album of original songs, Billboard Online reported on Wednesday (Feb. 9). The album is expected to be released by the end of the year, the site reported. Last year, McCartney issued Run Devil Run, a collection of early rock 'n' roll songs — and a few originals — he recorded with Pink Floyd guitarist David

Gilmour and Deep Purple drummer Ian Paice. McCartney's most recent album of original songs was Flaming Pie (1997).
