Tiffany Recording New Album

Former teen pop star working on first disc of four-record deal.

Former teen pop star Tiffany has signed a four-album recording

contract with independent label Modern Records, run by Randy Jackson.

Tiffany (born Tiffany Renee Darwisch) is already well into the recording

of her first LP under the deal, with its single expected out in May. She

also will release a greatest-hits album through Modern. Tiffany became

a teen idol following her 1987 mall tour, scoring hits with a cover of

"I Think We're Alone Now" and the ballad "Could've Been."
