Protest EP To Feature All-Star Lineup

One Four Love to include Black Star, Rah Digga, Pharoahe Monch and others.

Hip-hop duo Black Star and an all-star roster of other rappers and

performers, recording under the name Hip-Hop for Respect, will

release the four-song protest EP One Four Love on March 14, according

to a Rawkus Records spokesperson. The EP protests the shooting death of

Amadou Diallo, an unarmed black immigrant killed by police in the Bronx

(N.Y.), last year. Among the artists appearing on the album are Kool

G Rap, Rah Digga, Sporty Thievz, Common,

Pharoahe Monch and Wu-Tang Clan associate Cappadonna.

Organized Noize produced "One Four Love Part 1 — Reversing

the Hate" and "One Four Love Part II — Flipping the Script." The

other two songs, "A Tree Never Grown" and "Protective Custody," were

produced by 88 Keys and Khalyil, respectively. Black Star

plan to hold a New York benefit concert in March to raise money for various

charities, including the Amadou Diallo Foundation, an organization that

provides assistance to African immigrants.
