Pop-rock group Third Eye Blind has fired guitarist Kevin Cadogan
and replaced him with original bandmember Tony Fredianelli, the
San Francisco Chronicle reported Thursday (Jan. 27). On Wednesday,
Fredianelli performed the single "Never Let You Go" with the band on "The
Tonight Show With Jay Leno." In a brief statement that offered no reason
for the dismissal, 3EB manager Eric Godtland said drummer Brad Hargreaves,
singer Stephan Jenkins and bassist Arion Salazar "wish him
every success," the Chronicle reported. The paper also reported
that Cadogan had sought an injunction Wednesday against the band's "Tonight
Show" appearance. "Never Let You Go" climbed to #32 on last week's
Billboard Hot 100. The band's second album, Blue, is also
climbing, moving up to #52 on the Billboard 200 albums chart this
week.
