Veruca Salt To Release Resolver

Power-pop band's first album without singer/guitarist Nina Gordon due in mid-May.

Power-pop band Veruca Salt will release Resolver, their first album without singer/guitarist Nina Gordon, on May 16, according to Beyond Records. The band, now led by singer/guitarist Louise Post, is mixing the LP, which it recorded with producer Brian Liesegang in Chicago. Veruca Salt, named for a character in the book "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," scored rock hits in the mid-1990s with "Seether" and "Volcano Girls." Gordon left the group two years ago to pursue a solo career.
