Cult Working On Album
Hard rockers hope to release first LP in six years this summer.
Reunited hard-rockers the Cult are in preproduction for their first
album since their self-titled 1994 LP, which they hope to release by the
end of summer. Michael Beinhorn (Hole, Soundgarden)
is the front-runner to produce the album, a band spokesperson said. The
Cult, who resurfaced last summer and toured the U.S., plan a world tour
after the album's release. The band features original members Ian
Astbury on vocals and Billy Duffy on guitar, with longtime
Cult drummer Matt Sorum — who also has been in Guns
N' Roses — and ex-Porno for Pyros bassist Martyn
LeNoble.
