Dave Matthews Band Recording New LP

Hope to finish fourth studio album before summer tour.

The Dave Matthews Band are in their second week of recording for

their fourth studio album, according to band publicist Ambrosia Healy.

The band is working with producer Steve Lillywhite at a new studio

in the band's hometown, Charlottesville, Va. Healy said that while it is

unclear when the album will come out, the band hopes to complete recording

before a planned summer tour. The Dave Matthews Band's most recent studio

LP was Before These Crowded Streets (1998), which featured "Stay

(Wasting Time)" and "Don't Drink the Water." A live disc, Listener

Supported, was released in November.
