Axl Rose Praises Metal Site

The Guns N' Roses singer spoke out in support of KNAC.com.

Guns N' Roses singer Axl Rose has spoken out in support of

KNAC.com, the Internet site spin-off of former Los Angeles metal station

KNAC-FM. "KNAC was the only station in the country playing us back when

we were in the clubs in Los Angeles, and the fact that they have gone

online with the same people working who were around before is amazing,"

Rose said in a statement issued by KNAC's publicist. The Guns N' Roses

live track "Coma" has been downloaded more than 75,000 times since it

became available late last month on KNAC.com. The song, which originally

appeared on Use Your Illusion I (1991), was available in the live

version only on the Japanese edition of the band's recently released

Guns N' Roses Live Era '87–'93. KNAC.com was established as

a metalhead community site on the Web in November 1997, after the radio

station went off the air.
