Cure Plan Bloodflowers Minitour

Gloom-rock band due in U.S. next month after release of 13th album.

The Cure have announced dates for a low-key promotional tour for

Bloodflowers (Feb. 15).

The gloom-rock veterans will perform a handful of dates in Europe beginning

Feb. 1 in Hamburg, Germany, before heading to the United States for shows

starting Feb. 17 in San Francisco. They'll play mostly clubs in the six-city U.S.

tour.

The Cure are scheduled to launch a full-scale road trip in Europe in late

March and are calling the outing Dream Tour 2000.

Bloodflowers, the Cure's 13th studio album, will be the first new

material from the band since Wild Mood Swings (1996), which featured

the singles "Mint Car" and "The 13th" (RealAudio

excerpt).
