Soul singer Brian McKnight, who has a hit with the pop song "Back at One," will begin a U.S. tour next month.
The two-month outing begins Feb. 3 at Allen Theatre in Cleveland and winds up March 24 at Madison Square Garden in New York. R&B group 702, whose "Where My Girls At" was a smash last summer, and Eric Benet, another soul singer, will alternate as the tour's openers.
McKnight's album Back at One was released in September and debuted at #8 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. The title track (RealAudio excerpt), a slow, romantic ballad with echoing piano and soaring vocals, is at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.
