Jello Biafra On NY Presidential Ballot

Punk rocker in primary against consumer advocate Ralph Nader for Green Party nomination.

Ex–Dead Kennedys frontman Jello Biafra will oppose

consumer advocate Ralph Nader in the primary race for the Green Party's

presidential nomination in New York state next year, according to MTV

News. Biafra says he supports a "maximum wage" for employers —

the highest-paid employee at a company would only be allowed to make a

prescribed multiple of what the lowest-paid employee makes under that

system — and sides with organized labor on a number of other issues.

The Green Party is known for its liberal stances on economic and

environmental issues.
