Daltrey's New Year's Eve Show Canceled

Organizers blamed poor ticket sales.

A New Year's Eve concert in Washington, D.C., featuring Who singer Roger Daltrey and the British Rock Symphony has been canceled due to poor ticket sales, according to an event spokesperson. Tickets for the show, which was scheduled to be held at the city's Ronald Reagan Building, began at $500, according to the spokesperson. Several other high-profile New Year's Eve concerts also have been canceled, including a show in Alaska by pop singer Jewel and a New York concert featuring Sting and Aretha Franklin.
