Pumpkins' 'Everlasting Gaze' Hits Radio

Song is first cut released from MACHINA/the machines of God (Feb. 29).

"The Everlasting Gaze," the first song to be released from the upcoming Smashing Pumpkins album MACHINA/the machines of God (Feb. 29), has hit radio. Chicago's Q101 (WKQX-FM) debuted the song Thursday morning and has played it every other hour since then, program director Dave Richards said Friday. "This is in your face and strong as can be," Richards said of the cut. "The Everlasting Gaze" shows the band returning to its harder roots after 1998's more atmospheric Adore. The Pumpkins announced on Wednesday they will debut their new lineup with ex-Hole bassist Melissa Auf Der Maur in Dec. 20–21 shows at Chicago's Metro club.
