Hundreds of fans lined up overnight at record stores all over England this weekend and entered a drawing to win tickets to see ex-Beatle Paul McCartney play a show at the storied Cavern Club, according to a Reuters report. Only 150 fans will be able to see McCartney perform his Dec. 14 show there, according to a statement from his publicists. He'll be backed by Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour and Deep Purple drummer Ian Paice, who played on McCartney's latest album, Run Devil Run, a collection of rock 'n' roll covers. The original Cavern Club was torn down in the '70s but was later rebuilt at the same Liverpool, England, site. The Beatles built their reputation at the club in the early '60s.
