Garbage, Lit To Rock College Campuses

Monthlong tour, sponsored by MTV, will launch Wednesday in Denver.

Rockers Garbage and Lit will tour U.S. colleges together in October and

November as part of the MTV-sponsored Campus Invasion tour.

The outing is scheduled to begin Wednesday (0ct. 20) in Denver and will

end Nov. 24 in Irvine, Calif.

Garbage, the tour's headliners, recently recorded the theme song for the

upcoming James Bond film, "The World Is Not Enough." The video for the

song is expected to premiere Tuesday (Oct. 19) on MTV.

The band's latest album, Version 2.0, was released in May 1998 and

includes the hits "I Think I'm Paranoid" and "Push It" (RealAudio

excerpt).

Anaheim, Calif.'s Lit found success earlier this year with "My Own Worst

Enemy" (RealAudio

excerpt), from their major-label debut, A Place in the Sun.

The band played the ill-fated Woodstock '99 festival in July.
