Veteran pop and R&B singer Diana Ross was arrested early
Wednesday (Sept. 22) at Heathrow Airport in London after a female
security guard accused Ross of assaulting her, according to the
Associated Press. The ex-Supremes leader was not charged
with any crime; police gave her a warning, the AP reported. The
security guard was attempting to search Ross, who was preparing to board
the Concorde to the United States. "Police here are wonderful," Ross was
quoted as saying on her way out of Heathrow police headquarters.
