Rock veterans Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers have added more dates to
their current U.S. tour, extending the jaunt into the fall.
The tour, which began June 14th in Grand Rapids, Mich., and was slated
to end Aug. 13th in Irvine, Calif., now will end Oct. 16 in Los Angeles.
According to tour publicists, extra dates were added to continue what
has been a successful outing and to revisit several cities including
Philadelphia, Chicago, Detroit, Las Vegas and Los Angeles where
earlier concerts sold out.
Petty is touring behind his emotional new album, Echo, released
in April. Among its tracks are "Free Girl Now" (RealAudio
