Punk forebear Iggy Pop performed a surprise concert at the Viper
Room in Los Angeles on Tuesday (Sept. 14). With producer Don Was
working the soundboard, Pop performed songs off his album, Avenue B,
due Sept. 21, as well as vintage tunes by his proto-punk band the
Stooges, including "Loose" and "Down on the Street," according to
a Pop spokesperson. The new songs included "No Shit," "Nazi Girlfriend"
and "Miss Argentina," the spokesperson said.
