Chili Peppers Singer Joins Lou Reed In Studio

Red Hot Chili Peppers singer Anthony Kiedis joined former

Velvet Underground leader and solo artist Lou Reed in the

studio Friday (Sept. 10) to record a song for Reed's upcoming solo album,

according to a source familiar with the sessions. The song, "Future

Farmers of America," was performed by Reed on "The Late Show With David

Letterman" last year and is slated to appear on the singer's upcoming

album, tentatively titled Ecstacy, according to the source, who

did not want to be named. The LP is due early next year.
