Marcy Playground fans who preorder the band's next album,

Shapeshifter, online will be allowed to download all 12 tracks in

the weeks leading up to its Nov. 2 release, Capitol Records announced

Monday (Sept. 13). The promotion, held through online retailers including

CDNow, Transworld and Tower, begins Sept. 25 with the album's first single,

"It's Saturday." Two tracks will be made available each week. The songs

are in Microsoft's Windows Media format and will be automatically disabled

once the album is released. Marcy Playground's self-titled 1997 debut

included the hit "Sex and Candy."
