Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx was arrested after a show in Raleigh, N.C., on Friday (Sept. 3) and charged with inciting a riot at a Greensboro, N.C., concert two years earlier. According to Guilford County, N.C., Sheriff B.J. Barnes, a warrant is still out for former drummer Tommy Lee, who quit Mötley Crüe in April after having played with the band for 18 years. The sheriff said Sixx and Lee reportedly hurled racial slurs at an African-American security guard at Greensboro Coliseum on Oct. 28, 1997, and encouraged the crowd to assault the guard. Sixx, who posted a $7,500 bond, was traveling Tuesday (Sept. 7) and unavailable for comment, according to his publicist at Beyond Records. He was arrested Aug. 11 in Las Vegas on charges of provoking violence during a show there. Barnes said his office has spoken with Lee's lawyers about arrangements for Lee to turn himself in.
