Singer Robin Zander and guitarist Rick Nielsen of veteran rock band Cheap Trick joined Everclear onstage at the premiere party for Kiss' movie "Detroit Rock City" on Monday (Aug. 9) in Los Angeles. They played Cheap Trick's hit "Surrender," which appears in the film. Kiss then took the stage for a short show complete with fireworks. The just-released soundtrack to "Detroit Rock City" features '90s bands covering '70s tunes, including Everclear's rendition of Thin Lizzy's "The Boys Are Back in Town" and Marilyn Manson's version of AC/DC's "Highway to Hell." It also features classic rock songs from Kiss, Black Sabbath, Sweet and Van Halen.
