Rapper Mysonne Linen, who makes his solo debut with a track on the all-star compilation Violator: The Album, was convicted Aug. 2 of robbing two taxi drivers in New York and could face 50 years in prison, according to the Bronx County, N.Y., district attorney's office. The 23-year-old rapper, who performs as Mysonne, will be sentenced Sept. 7. On Violator: The Album, Mysonne performs "You Can't Stop Me," and appears on at least one other track. The album, due Tuesday (Aug. 10), features tracks by Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliott, LL Cool J and others. The district attorney's office said Mysonne committed the second of the robberies in March 1998, months before he signed a recording contract with Island/Def Jam.
