Soul singer and minister Al Green has canceled his Sunday (July 25) morning performance at Woodstock '99, organizers confirmed Saturday. Green had planned to fly from Nashville in a small private plane but backed out of the flight following the plane-crash death July 16 of John F. Kennedy Jr., Woodstock co-promoter John Scher said. The singer said he had tried unsuccessfully to make other travel arrangements, and he apologized for the cancellation, according to Scher.
