Springsteen Plays N.J. Bar

Bruce Springsteen joined singer Joe Grushecky for a short acoustic set at a bar in Long Branch, N.J., on Friday (July 9). Springsteen, who will kick off the U.S. leg of his reunion tour with the E Street Band Thursday (July 15) in East Rutherford, N.J., played four songs with Grushecky, according to reports from fans at the show and a statement from Grushecky's promoter. The two musicians, who frequently have played together, performed the Grushecky songs "Talking to the King," "Never Be Enough Time" and "Pumping Iron," as well as a cover of Van Morrison's "Brown-Eyed Girl."
