Hardcore rapper DMX was arrested onstage in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, Saturday night for allegedly using obscene language, according to the Associated Press. Public use of obscenities is illegal in Trinidad. Concertgoers reacted angrily as police led DMX (born Earl Simmons) off the stage, leading officers to fire their guns in the air to quiet the crowd, the wire service reported. The rapper was jailed over the weekend, and faces a court date Monday (July 12), according to the AP. Two weeks ago, he was arrested in Teaneck, N.J., and charged with possession of an illegal semi-automatic handgun; he also faces misdemeanor assault charges in Yonkers, N.Y.
