Readers of the British music magazine Q have named former Beatles John

Lennon and Paul McCartney as the two greatest stars of the 20th century.

Rounding out the top five are late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain,

Bob Dylan and Elvis Presley. The poll's top 20, which is listed on the

magazine's website (www.qonline.co.uk), also includes Noel and Liam

Gallagher of Oasis, the late Freddie Mercury of Queen,

R&B singer Aretha Franklin and U2 singer Bono.
