John Popper Hospitalized For Chest Pains

Blues Traveler cancel pair of Red Rocks shows.

Rock band Blues Traveler have been forced to cancel their annual two-day

concert stand at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colo., this weekend (July 3-4)

because of health concerns surrounding singer John Popper. A group

spokesperson said Popper, 32, has been experiencing chest pains for three months and

checked into an undisclosed hospital Thursday (July 1) for a series of tests. This would

have been the seventh consecutive year the band played Red Rocks over the holiday

weekend. Popper has been working on his first solo album, scheduled for release this

fall.
