Michael Jackson Bruised In Onstage Fall

Michael Jackson was treated at a hospital Sunday in Munich, Germany, after a

bridge used in his performance at a benefit concert fell to the ground with him on it, his

spokesperson, Bob Jones, said. The self-proclaimed "King of Pop," who was bruised

from the fall, finished the performance and went to the hospital to be checked out. He

was released a few hours later, according to Jones. Conflicting press reports said

Jackson had been burned by fireworks used in the show, while another said he was

treated for exhaustion. "There were no burns," Jones said, adding that the singer is sore

but fine. Jackson was among several stars, including Italian tenor Andrea

Bocelli and R&B singer Luther Vandross, who performed at Munich's

Olympic Stadium to benefit the Red Cross, UNESCO and Nelson Mandela's Children's

Fund. The concert raised more than $1.6 million, the Associated Press reported.
