John Phillips, leader of '60s folk-rockers the Mamas and the Papas,
attended his daughter Bijou Phillips' show Friday night at the Viper Room in Los
Angeles. Bijou played songs off her debut album, I'd Rather Eat Glass, including
"Hawaii," "I Own You" and "When I Hated Him (Don't Tell Me)," her single about her
father. A five-piece band assembled three days before the show backed the pop singer.
"We're really nervous," Phillips told the crowd.
