Nightmares on Wax: Frontman George Evelyn, a.k.a. DJ E.A.S.E., is playing several North American dates this month. The melodic techno-pop quintet's long-awaited (four years in the making) second album, Carboot Soul, was released April 20.

Ben Harper: The soulful folk-rocker is working on the follow-up to 1997's Will to Live, tentatively due in September. Until then, he is playing a few dates in the States before heading to Europe to play jazz, blues and heavy-metal festivals.

Pole: Stefan Betke (a.k.a. Pole), master of crackly German ambient dub, is briefly touring North America to promote his debut album, CD1, and its follow-up, the aptly titled EP2 (both released Feb. 23). Also appearing on these dates is Pole's female counterpart, ambient/drum 'n bass queen Riz Maslen (a.k.a. Neotropic).
