Eddie Vedder And Kim Gordon Duet on Soundtrack

Pearl Jam singer Eddie Vedder and Sonic Youth

singer/bassist Kim Gordon have collaborated on an untitled duet

for a new film by actor/writer/director Tim Robbins. The track is

expected to play over the credits to "The Cradle Will Rock," about

Orson Welles' 1930s Mercury Theater group. David Robbins,

the director's brother, wrote the film's score. Vedder previously

collaborated with the director for the soundtrack to Robbins' 1996

film "Dead Man Walking," providing the song "The Long Road" and a

duet with late Pakistani singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan on

"The Face of Love."
