Ronnie Spector EP Due In U.S.

Former '60s girl-group singer Ronnie Spector will issue an EP on the Kill Rock Stars label, famous for releasing the work of such punk bands as Sleater-Kinney and Bikini Kill. The disc was issued in England earlier this year on Creation Records. The collection, due in September, includes a duet with former Ramones frontman Joey Ramone, along with covers of the Beach Boys' "Don't Worry Baby" and songs by the Ramones and late New York Dolls guitarist Johnny Thunders. Spector, the ex-wife of famed producer Phil Spector, was the leader of the Ronettes, whose biggest hit was the 1963 single "Be My Baby."
