Brit-poppers Elastica will release an EP of new material to

coincide with their Aug. 27 date at the Reading festival in England,

according to spokesperson Jim Merlis. A track listing for the EP was not

available at press time, and the disc is not expected to be released in

the U.S. The band's long-awaited full-length follow-up to its 1995

eponymous debut is not expected until early 2000. Co-founder Donna Matthews recently announced her departure from

the band.
