David Lee Roth To Open For Bad Co.

Former Van Halen singer David Lee Roth will open for Bad

Company on the reunited '70s rockers' reunion tour this summer,

according to both acts' official websites. They'll play arenas and

amphitheaters starting June 23 in Winston-Salem, N.C. Roth, whose last

album, DLR Band (1998), returned him to his hard rock/metal roots,

is also set to play several headlining European dates this summer. Bad

Company, whose hits and classic-rock radio staples include "Can't Get

Enough" and "Shooting Star," are touring in support of The Original

Bad Company Anthology, a box set featuring several new songs. Drummer

Simon Kirke said last month they were looking for a "young and

edgy" opening act.
