ASCAP To Honor Quincy Jones

Composer and producer Quincy Jones will receive the Henry Mancini

Award for Lifetime Achievement from the American Society of Composers, Authors and

Publishers on Tuesday night (April 27) in Los Angeles. The award, which honors Jones'

achievements as a film and television composer, will be presented at the Beverly Hilton

Hotel by Ray Charles, Sidney Poitier and ASCAP President Marilyn

Bergman. Jones, 66, began his music career 50 years ago as a jazz musician.
